I know I've said it before, and I'll undoubtedly keep saying it. A mace workout is probably the most underestimated workout for the strength, range of motion, and active functionality of the entirety shoulders. It doesn't even take that much weight comparatively to get an amazing shoulder workout just from the swinging having the weighted portion be off balance throughout the motion.

Plus..... if you have a big tire (maybe even a medium tire), you can beat the ever living crap out of it with a mace. It's a good stress reliever.
I usually run this circuit:
10lb mace - 12 hits per hand on the tire

Active recovery & Steel Mace 360s (for a total of 100 reps to each side)
Week 1 - 75 @10lbs, 25 @15lbs
Week 2 - 50 @10lbs, 50 @15lbs
Week 3 - 25 @10lbs, 75 @15lbs
Week 4 - 0 @ 10lbs, 100 @ 15lbs
