Kat has done a nice in-depth look at some smart scales, and I added my own comparisons between those and DEXA as well. So, the question is, what is "next" as a side research project? I currently have two options, but would love to get feedback and thoughts from others
- Comparing the Garmin Index and Garmin Index S2 Smart Scales
or - Comparing Garmin fenix 6 vs Whoop
I already have a pretty good idea of what the results are going to show for each (Garmin Index is going to be a "typical" smart scale, the S2 will estimate things like bodyfat percentage on the high end). And the data from Whoop, while admittedly will look pretty, will be all over the map accuracy wise and not terribly helpful since the accuracy is lacking. However, even though I have expectations of what the outcome of the research will be, you never know until you actually get the device(s), the data, and go through what is collected!
Please reply below (since there isn't an embedded "vote" feature yet on the Wix forum yet, but apparently it may be in the works!) and let me know your thoughts!
